Public Statement: Clarification Regarding Recent SAHRC Submission
We are aware of recent public discussions surrounding a submission made to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) and the Department of Water Affairs, concerning water issues in Port Alfred.
We would like to clarify that this submission was made by a private individual and was not initiated, endorsed, or submitted on behalf of our organisation.
While we understand and respect the rights of all citizens to engage with oversight bodies and raise concerns, we believe it is important to ensure that our organisation’s name and position are accurately represented.
As always, we remain committed to constructive dialogue and to working collaboratively with the community and relevant authorities to address service delivery challenges, including water infrastructure and access.
